Deprentus is a planet within an unknown system 1.5 light-years away from Reach.
History[]
By 2536, Deprentus has fallen into civil war as the bandits fought local UNSC forces for control. The two coms arrays where captured by bandits and partially destroyed.
Covenant invasion[]
In early 2537 the Covenant Empire used clues discovered on Arcadia to the excistance of Deprentus. A planetary invasion was planned, but after seeing the state, the Covenant deemed it unnessary. Sgt. Allen lead recon teams to discover what the aliens was looking for. Entering Balotimo fortress, a mysterious tunnel was discovered, and a faltering Forerunner A.I. revealed a small Forerunner fleet was hidden within the planet. Realzing their only hope was to capture Virgentia Relay, and hope it could be fixed and get word to the UNSC. Previous attempts had been made to capture a Relay, but the bandits heavily guard them.
